Mid hazy orange, no head. Slightly appley aroma. Beautiful and slightly winey taste - wooden barrels, sharp and crisp. Simply heavenly beer - hard to describe, but the taste experience is transcendental.

GABF 2008 at Dr. Bill’s tasting. Golden pour with small head. Nose of funk, fruit and malts. Flavor is vinegar, wood, fruit and sourness.

This beer has a beautiful bronze color and the head is limited. The aroma is sour with notes of horse blanket, fruit and caramel. The flavour is sour with light notes of vinegar, wood, horse blanket, sweet fruits and the finish is sourish and slightly dry.

Bottle@Home. Funky and malty aroma. Hazy, pale yellow, white head, fair lace. Sweetish, sourish, yellow fruit, woody, barnyard. Medium body. Tastes like it says: lambic with sour ale.

750ml bottle $12.99. Nice dark, cloudy orange color. It smells deliciously sour. The taste is nice and sour, musty, old, some bits of wood (lambic?). The only problem I had with this beer is it seemed a little acidic and was kind of hard on my stomach. Good beer but I probably won’t bother cellaring any. 750ml bottle at Novare Res. Nestled somewhere after a Panil and de Proef came this monster. And to put the three together would be just a natural inclination. Good/Better/Best comes to mind and this beer is squarely in the middle of that statement. Better. It’s a nice orange/golden pour with a foamy head. Nose is fruity, citrusy, tart, and funky. Flavors are more simple than other sours i’ve tried, which honestly would make this a fantastic starter sour. It’s a great example of the delicate balance between sweet and sour, but doesn’t have all the malty or fruity clutter of some of these beers contain.

Bottle thanks to dchmela. Hazy orange pour with a surprisingly present off-white head. Tart fruit nose; some grapefruit, lemon, and sour cherry. Good bit of wood and some barnyard funkiness. Bit of leather. Overall, there was something too sweet/tart about this simply because there weren’t more complex flavors underneath. Felt like I wanted more depth in the flavor, but ultimately it was thin as was the palate. Decent, but admittedly a bit of letdown given my high hopes.

750ml Bottle: Aroma of tart fruit, acid, and Brett makes me salivate. Poured orange/amber in color with a tiny off-white head that disappeared instantly. Hazy. Not sparkling. Very tart flavor. Tastes of tart fruit, wood, Brett, and wet oak. Light body. Thin, mineral texture. Soft carbonation. Tart, woody, fruit finish.
