| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jun 20, 2004 A hazy orange beer with a fine white head. The aroma is sweet with notes of coriander and so is the flavor. A boring average beer. Jeppe (2638), Ølbutikken, Denmark

Saison-like aroma with hops, flowers and hay tones. Flavor is hayish and somewhat harsh. Foamy mouthfull. Not really my kind of beer. madsberg (5074), Søborg, Denmark
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 19, 2004 Bottled: Golden coloured. Clear. Off white lasting head. Find it a little skunky in the aroma. Otherwise fruits and some malt in the nose. Has a light fruitsweetness in the flavour. Is a little hoppy and ends in a vague bitterness. | 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 8, 2003 Pale gold colour, slight orange hue. Abundant white head, stable. Cocos nose whilst pouring, very fine hops afterwards, a bit citrussy. Extremely nice hops-taste again, soft-bitter. Good balance. Mouthfeel is quite dry (I suspect candi-sugar), alcohol feels like malt whiskey with orange rind. No new aftertaste. Superb balance allround. This is a mixture of two beers from Van Eecke, and it's hard to believe Hommelbier is not involved. The alcohol from 't Kapitttel Abt, however, is unmistakable. Van Eecke blends this for 't Hommelhof, probably Belgiums' best beercuisine-restaurant.
