330 ml bottle bought in Hagi city Yamaguchi prefecture Japan thanks to Akiko. Labeled as a English style beer, and a pale ale. The cyonmage is that cool haircut the Samurai used to wear. Anyway, the beer; pours a bright golden color with a medium white head. Now it gets different. The aroma is very funky; barnyard notes, hay, loads of yeast, citrus, a ripe funk that is way funkier than I’ve ever had. This is basically the flavor as well; dry, citrus, wheat and loads of yeast, some soapy hops, but man this is really all about a massive funk. Dirty socks, Brett, whatever. One of the oddest beers I’ve ever had. Did something get lost over the Pacific? Who knows. Interesting for sure.
