Tranquillity (1080), Espoo, Finland Jan 22, 2008 Bottle. Phil: This HAS the naturalne on the label. Could be that its old, but the aroma is strong of malt with groius (can’t read my own notes...). Taste quite good, but initiallyt too thin and sweet. The finish is abrupt. Medium head, dark red/brown colour. Dark brown, healthy head. Grainy malty aroma - fresh and clean but quite potent. Relatively thin and watery in the mouth - but that makes it feel refreshing rather than sticky, and helps deceive you about the alcoholic strength - you really wouldn’t guess it’s 7%. However, there’s no way this is a watery beer -the flavours flood in quite quickly and on swallowing there’s a sweet rich roasted malt taste. Strong, but not overpowering or caricatured; very well balanced. Slight yeasty tang noted. Very nice. oh6gdx (6416), Vaasa, Finland Apr 3, 2006 Bottled. Brown colour with red hints, small beige head. Sweet alcohol and malt in aroma. Sweet caramelly malty flavour with hints of alcohol as it gets a bit warmer. Smooth!
