What a shame they are going along with this shit! Pours yellow but it’s so faint it’s lamost clear. No head on this for some reason. Aroma is odd it’s sweet and candy-ish. Almost a peppermint aroma! This makes up for how bad the taste is going to be. Or is it.... The taste is sort of grainy and wheat-ish with a faint hop backbone. Not nearly as bad as I expected it to be. The palate is about as thin as it could be, save the carbonation. Beer flavored seltzer water??? Finish semi-bland. There’s some beer like hints to it but overall it’s pretty palin. That said, it’s better than Michelob Ultra and the Rolling Rock low carb stuff. Not sure about Aspen Edge, but I can’t imagine that being much better than this. happy4hops (369), Bel Air, Maryland, USA

Aroma is a slight tease of malt, sweet clean schwag brew. They used hops in this too a tad anyway.Compared to the the other three low carb beers I’ve had this one is the best.Pure mega swill crap but it’s good in a way.The finish is dry,the color teases straw, whack carbonation.Top of the heap of swill(ramble) PorterPounder (3144), Tallahassee, Florida, USA

Light white head, quickly dissipating. Good bubble action in a light golden pour. Initial crisp Saaz-based skunk-like aroma - not altogether unpleasant, settles into something similar to apple juice. Has that spritzy mouthfeel that most low carbs seem to have. Slight hoppy flavor, not too much different than light versions of Becks, etc. Not too much of a malt presence. Finishes very dry though - leaves me thirsting for something more filling. If something is this light - shouldn’t it be more refreshing? BennyTicklez (621), USA

| 1.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | May 29, 2004 Updated: Mar 16, 20052004 bottle. Well if you want to rate this relative to the other low carb beers on the market, this one would be in the high 4’s. However, on the whole scale of pale lagers, it’s not nearly that special. Still, the flavor is not offensive, just pretty neutral, watery and weak. There was some attempt at hops flavoring, dry and minimal with a seltzer-like body. No sweetness whatsoever, very peppery carbonation, with almost no aroma. Clear, straw color, white head. Very similar to sparkling mineral water (San Pelegrino anyone?). Whatever, it’s better than bud light. beastdog75 (337), Brick, New Jersey, USA
| 1.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 1/5 | 5/20 | May 28, 2004 An almost flavorless low-carb light. Some light grains, light indistinct fruitiness, and some soapy flavors. No hop presence whatsoever. Probably the worst German beer I’ve had. jde123 (715), Washington, Washington DC, USA
| 1.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 4/20 | May 20, 2004 Pours the color of water with the slightest bit of yellow food coloring added. Very frothy disgusting looking head, terrible smell emanates from the glass. No discernable flavor, very surprising, usually I can pick out the crappy rice flavor, but this one just tastes like nothing...very dull beer that most people would love. It is awful. | 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/20 | May 19, 2004 The beer after dispensing from the 12 ounce brown bottle sits in the glass a translucent light gold color, the head large and white in color with a semi-creamy texture, the lace a very thin sheet. Nose is somewhat sweet, fresh and crisp, start is also slightly sweet, thin malt profile, top is cadaverous. Finish is stern in its acidity, the hops apropos to the style, well goes to show you a person on a diet will try anything once?
