| 1.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 2/5 | 2/10 | 2/5 | 5/20 | Mar 1, 2007 Bottle: Clear gold in color with a white head. Aroma, from a foot away you could tell that this guy was skunked. Some pale malts, grassy. Flavor, past the skunky stale ass, there was some more pale malts, some sweetness, and a bit grassy. Would have much preferred a fresher bottle, but hey. This completes the styles. omhper (12247), Stockholm, Sweden
| 2.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Feb 27, 2007 Canned. Clear golden, brief airy head. Fruity aroma with some grass, metal and butter. Sweet and sugary with notes of boiled vegetables, dense mouthfeel. Short salty finish. Why is this listed as a pilsener? chicagobears (336), Elk Grove Village, Illinois, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Feb 25, 2007 Yellow-orange, big white head. Everything I want in a pilsener. Dry, hoppy, and honey like sweetness. Just as good as other German pils I’ve had. maeib (4762), Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, England
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Feb 16, 2007 Bottled. An orangey gold coloured beer with a nice white head. The aroma is grassy hop but is too lager snatchy for my liking. The taste is grassy again with buttery creamy notes. Quite thin and characterless. Disappointing. shalloWMeans (160), Independence, Kentucky, USA
| 2.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 3/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Feb 13, 2007 Updated: Feb 20, 2007Pours with a big, pillowy head, nice straw gold pilsner color w/ plenty o’ bubbles. The aroma is warm, hoppy, very skunkish, but fresh. The mouthfeel, is kind of the downfall here. It is light and watery kind of like a mass produced ice or light beer. Oh well. The taste is light, smooth, and refreshing. Overall, not very complex or full-bodied, but then again I guess I’ve just been getting used to rich heavy ales. DAB Original is a solid pilsener with a hop/foral aroma, good carbonation and a crisp clean slightly bitter aftertaste. It’s biggest downfall is that it does not have any wow factor to it. Well worth trying.
