Soapy grassy aroma with slight floral hoppy tone.
Flavour is malty slightly sour with sharp (almost metallic) bitter aftertaste.
I like the Export better. shp555 (1690), Atlanta, Georgia, USA

A nice color with tiny head, very little flavor but I don’t know if that is because I had some Terrapin Rye 2 before but I would not try again. YourDarkLord (1800), Urbana, Illinois, USA

This clear amber beer with dancing bubbles, topped by a weak white head, was weak and watery. The nose and the flavor evidence hops, malt, some fennel, flowers, and a scintilla of caramel. Unimpressive. MoritzF (5029), Bochum, Germany
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Aug 22, 2005 (bottle) Clear and pale golden colour with a big foamy white head, slowly lacing. Malty aroma with some hops in the background. Weak malty watery taste with a somewhat dry but dense hoppy finish. A light bodied, bland and uninteresting Pilsener. D (550), Poland

DAB has a dab of goodness to it. Not bad but not great. A solid beer with light fare, or just drinking on its own. Would I pick this over a more easily acquired beer? No, but now and again it would be good to have as opposed to something ridiculous and pretentious like Anheuser World Select AdamSkillin (376), High Bridge, New Jersey, USA

In other words, very generic, not too much going on, but by virtue of it being from Germany, not terrible or ricey or awful. Light enough to drink with a pizza, yet flavorful enough that you don’t think you picked up your girlfriend’s evian by mistake. Get it in the little mini-keg thing that fits in the fridge, it’s messy and awful, but fun as heck.
