Pretty clerar golden with medium white, pancake head. Aroma is corny with some lager yeast, dry. Flavor is way sweeter than the aroma with lager yeast, corn, a little chalky, a little bit of spicey hops (surprisingly). Medium body with some creaminess. Similar to the hofbrau original but a little bit more corn and hops, defintely not as clean. DerWeg (760), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jul 6, 2009 Lightly hop-bitter and generally sweet aroma with an interesting iron-filings steeliness. Taste noble hop bitterness over light sweet malt body - honey, grainy, light citrus. Simple but actually pretty clean and more-ish. fidelis83 (717), Clinton, Iowa, USA

Aroma is grass, sweet malt, spicy hops, hay and lager yeast. Flavor is sweet grain, spice, grass, old grain, sweet white bread and a little planty and bitter hops to the finish. Decent stuff, but nothing special. luttonm (306), Belgrade, Serbia

Light aroma with hints of hops, corn, and some biscuits. Flavor is light just like the aroma. Some grassy notes begin with some light hay and pepper near the middle. A very light malt sweetness comes in at the middle with a rather dry and sour malt finish. Easy to drink. Vertical Bacon Strips (890), Edmonton, Alberta, Canada
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jun 8, 2009 ight gold beer with a very small ammount of bubbs, decent whte head with little retention and some tiny patches of spotty lacing early on - none later. Aroma is dominated by biscuity (maybe closer to bready) malts. I acutally snorted my beer while sticking my nose waaaay too far into the glass and then sprayed it all over the table - I am the original classy quality beer taster. Light fruitiness that comes out as it warms. Slight yeast and possibly dates??? Not to sure about that one. Nice smell that leans to the dry side. Of course, there are lots of flavourful malts to taste, a nice background dry yeast and some fruit on the back end. Defenetly not complex. Has a good medium body to it, good carbs on the swish - nears a creamy state. Feels light then thickens a little. Body shaking chunky belch. Ends with a short mild fresh bitter finish.
