Cryptic number on label of 25/93 L. I have no idea what this means, probably a batch number. B249 seen on front label. Another cryptic number. Anyway, it poured out a "German" gold color, with a decent, but short lived white head. Aromas are of sweet, fresh cut hay, along with malts galore. Sweet, residual aromas as well. Strange beer here gang, Smells sweet at first, then as it warms up slightly, it smells like yeasty San Francisco sourdough bread. Taste are of malts, slight sourness to it, and faint hops in the background. Medium mouthfeel, and slightly bitter finish to it. A decent German lager, but not the best I ever had. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Jul 20, 2004 A light orange beer with a huge dense white head. The aroma is very hoppy with notes of flowers and oil - like a Czech pils. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel, malt, and lots of bitter hops, which gives it a niece bitter finish. A nice pils. | 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Jul 13, 2004 Golden beer. Strong skunk aroma due to green bottle, leading to a grassy chalky nose. Some cardboardy notes in mouth, with a dry german hops finish, nice malts in end. Lighter bodied. IPFreely (1470), Lewiston, New York, USA

Decent malt backbone, steady hop prescence. Lighter body, a little dry, refreshing. A pretty nice pils. heemer77 (4304), Savannah, Missouri, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 2/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Jul 1, 2004 I keep trying green bottles from Europe. When will I learn? Pours with a large head and little carbonation. The aroma is slightly skunky with a touch of malt. The taste is smooth and has a little bt of hops. Overall acrisp lager. I assume that this would be decent if it was fresher. BennyTicklez (621), USA
