Nice flowery aroma, pale malt, and a pleasant sour citrus aroma. Flavour is nicely malty and bready with good body and a fairly hoppy finish. Quite good. Tastes light on the palate, with some malt, corn, slight hops. Just OK as far as I’m concerned. To me, foreign pilsners have nothing on the current crop of American ones. A rather tasty beer which definitely tasted like a classic Dortmunder. Very bready, with a moist texture and a yeasty finish. Held it’s flavour well, even as it warmed up, which is encouraging. Plain yellow, with a big head which flopped somewhat. I liked this: it did the job. BigBilly (127), London W3 6PF, England
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 13/20 | Jun 7, 2004 440ml can. Pours a light gold with good white head. Faint malty nose. Crisp bitter flavour with some cereal.Balanced mouthfeel with dry finish. This is more macro-lager than Pilsener similar(but crisper and less fruity than)Stella. My first taste of this beer and for the reasonable price at my local Oddbins it won’t be my last.Needs to be seriously chilled. beastdog75 (337), Brick, New Jersey, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 24, 2004 Surprisingly unskunked even though it arrived in green bottles. A very nice malty pilsener. Good bready flavors throughout, with some grassy and hay-like qualities, moderate hop bitterness and dryness. Very crisp and easy to drink. ruffian (149), montvale, New Jersey, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | May 16, 2004 More malt than bitterness, have a hard time calling this a German Pilsner. Clear straw color, white head. Nice hop aroma. Soft mouthfeel, not much in the bittering way at all. piscator34 (1130), Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | May 5, 2004 Pale yellow in colour. Not very much going on as far as aroma is concerned... just some mild hops. Flavor wise, there’s some mild hops there too, but loads of mineral and metal flavors too. This beer would be good on a hot day, but it’s nothing special. There’s better thirst quenchers out there. haf (333), Gijon, Spain
