bgiamatei (189), São Paulo, Brazil Sep 24, 2008 Cerveja diferenciada - feita com erva-mate. Coloração amarelo claro, um pouco turva. Espuma branco-neve, boa formação, mas some rápido. Cheiro de bagaço de cana-de-acúcar, leve e suave, não é desagradável. Sabor forte de madeira - defumado. Frisante. Lembra tereré
Russo (511), Campinas, Brazil Sep 26, 2008 Bottled. I really different experience. Nice orange color that starts with a nice white head but goes quicly and let a thin lace. Aroma is like that should be, ERVA-MATE, traditional drink at Rio grande do Sul and Paraguay (Served cold). Flavor is a little bit dry, and the erva-mate could be felt again. But not too intense like his aroma. Mouthfeel is dry and keep a smooth erva-mate finish. Nice different beer. Fukito (600), Buenos Aires, Argentina Mar 20, 2008 Bottle, february 08. Thanks Sergio! Shinny golden color with a small white head. Strange bittersweet flavor, spicy and deep with a profound mate aftertaste. Complex and interesting. A nice mate aroma with some sweet notes. Captivating. Medium palate, tasty with a lasting finish. An interesting, complex and surprising golden ale. scanovajr (306), Rio de Janeiro, Brazil Dec 25, 2007 Bottled 330ml. This is a very singular beer, brewed with mate tea (herb). The mate tea is an herb used to make a typical and popular drink in Rio Grande do Sul that is a state in the very south of Brazil. This drink is called chimarrao and is also common in Argentina, Uruguay and Paraguay. The beer has a hazy green color with a small white head. Aroma is very herbal, strong notes of mate tea. Taste is spicy, malty and sweety, notes of mate tea. Nice bitterness, typical from mate Alcoholic end. A really good brazilian beer. A huge contribution from Dado Bier to the brazilian beer culture.
