ChainGangGuy (1602), Kennesaw, Georgia, USA Aug 18, 2007 Appearance: Pours a clear amber body with a wispy, off-white head.
Smell: An aroma light on caramel but full of pine hop scents. Maybe a bit of dried mint leaves, too.
Taste: Starts with a small, quick dose of toffee sweetness before wandering into a fair amount of spicy, piney hops. A mild, sparing bitter finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: Though a decent, well-made brew, it fails to really excite my beer-drinking sensibilities. shp555 (1377), lilburn, Georgia, USA Aug 17, 2007 Pours a copper color with a white head. Aroma is grainy and some hops. Flavor is light malt, grain, and light bitter finish. CaptainCougar (4663), Rockville, Maryland, USA Aug 17, 2007 Pours a transparent copper orange with a spotty-lacing white head. Aroma of lightly toasty pale malt and a mild earthy, green hoppy character. Body starts fairly fresh with a light sweetness along with some earthy, citrus green hops. Finishes smooth and balanced with a mild bittersweetness and some peppery hops. A nice California common.
