| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Aug 18, 2007 Appearance: Pours a clear amber body with a wispy, off-white head.
Smell: An aroma light on caramel but full of pine hop scents. Maybe a bit of dried mint leaves, too.
Taste: Starts with a small, quick dose of toffee sweetness before wandering into a fair amount of spicy, piney hops. A mild, sparing bitter finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium carbonation.
Drinkability: Though a decent, well-made brew, it fails to really excite my beer-drinking sensibilities. shp555 (1693), Atlanta, Georgia, USA

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Aug 17, 2007 Pours a transparent copper orange with a spotty-lacing white head. Aroma of lightly toasty pale malt and a mild earthy, green hoppy character. Body starts fairly fresh with a light sweetness along with some earthy, citrus green hops. Finishes smooth and balanced with a mild bittersweetness and some peppery hops. A nice California common. iowaherkeye (1882), Los Angeles, California, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 19, 2007 22oz bottle, no date thanks to Saarlander. Copper red with a one finger beige head that lasted about 12 seconds. Caramel up front with some citrus hops, unripened apricot and a hint of earth close behind. Flavor is much the same with a fair amount of sweetness kept in check by some earthy and piney hops. Burped stale dusty crackers. Low bitterness overall. Low to moderate carbonation with a medium body. Can’t find any flaws with this guy. Dickinsonbeer (3502), Hoboken, New Jersey, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 11, 2007 Bomber from Saarlander. Pours a medium amber, thin lasting head. Aroma is coppery metallic malts, with some citrus and piney hops- hints of mint as well- reminded me of a traditional steam beer like anchor. Flavor is similar too, but thicker and a bit richer in malt flavor- toasty malts, light crystal and cluster-like citrus pine and pee- hoppiness. Easy drinking- nice finish. cewldre (268), Cincinnati, Ohio, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jul 8, 2007 Bottle from saarlander via mystery swap 2.0, Thanks! This one pours light amber in color with a small, slightly off white head. Smell is a a bit of caramel and a little fruity. Taste is a bit sweet initially, but then the caramel flavor pulls through. A little thin on the palate, but easy drinking and definitely smooth. As I continue to drink, I notice a bit of hop bitterness pulling through this one. Thanks again Aaron. | 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Jul 8, 2007 Bottle from saarlander. Thanks Aaron! Pours a hazy amber with a thin white head. Nose heavy on the malts, with some fruity esters. Flavor is pretty bland and weird spices. This is nothing like Anchor Steam which is the only other CC beer I have had. Kinda through me off I guess. Still, a pretty good beer that Taylor and Wieland both enjoyed. MullMan (1086), Bloomfield, New Jersey, USA
