Bottled. A pitch black beer with a thin brown head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of roasted malt and chocolate. The flavor is sweet and very roasted combined with notes of bitter chocolate and wood, leading to a dry roasted finish. The body is thin, which is the only drawback.

Bottle (in NZ), pours black with a large pillowy brown head. Roasted malt on the nose, with plenty of chocolate and slightly buttery. Lots of chocolate in the malty palate as well, a smooth texture with some smokiness in the finish. I would happily drink a few of these.

Bottle. rich brown body, with creamy head. Taste has milk with some dark chocolate and tobacco in a nice tight package. Overall feels quite light, could use some more smoked taste to it.

Botella. Black colour, short head. Mild roasty aroma with chocolate. Faor mouthfeel. Mild roasted maltiness in the flavour along with chocolate, some coffee and a mild bitterness.

Roasty smoked and light dry lactic notes. And something that smells like a clean plastic milk carton. Black with a wispy tan bubbly. Dry with dark malt, chocolate and tobacco in the flavor.

Bottle at Chris_O’s 19th April 2008 tasting. Dark with a line of tan head. Balanced chocolate & malt aroma, complemented by an equally subtle flavour. A bit thin but a nice change from full-on choccy stouts.
