Commercial Description:
Drinking stout is fun and is no longer only meant for the older generation. That was the message when Royal Stout was introduced to Malaysian market in 1992 to complement the existing range of products. Rich in aroma with a right level of bitterness, its honest to goodness flavour appeals to the older generation who appreciate its rich taste and the younger generation who feels a need for change in keeping with the times.

Can. Pours an opaque black, with an intriguingly reddish-brown foamy head. Sweet aroma of roasted malt, rye bread, molasses and rosehip. Very much like mämmi, come to think of it. Sweetish flavor of fruit and roasted malt. Ever so slightly tangy bitter and alcoholic aftertaste. Smooth and very full bodied. Consider me pleasantly surprised! (credits to tbone !)

Bottle@LCRBM08. A black colored beer, with a beige head. The aroma of smoked malt, with sweet chocolate. The taste is dry smoked, with some bitter and notes of overripe fruits. The aftertaste is enjoyable bitter.

Black with a small off-white head. Aroma of toffee, licorice and caramel. Rich, roasted flavour, but quite simple and one-dimensional.

Draught. Fluffy but lasting light brown head. Pitch black body.Relatively sweet coffee choccolate aroma. Caramel at the front of the flavor of coffee choccolate and unfortunately also some metallic notes. Low carbonation, long and relatively sweet aftertaste.
