Clear amber with no head. Aroma of honey and alcohol with a touch of caraway seed. Flavor is rich, honeyed, and vinous with a potent alcohol burn. Sweet and tangy. Delicious.

Bottle. Beautiful looking body. Flavor has a light wood taste with some bitter sweetness of honey and spice. Alcohol hits the taste right away but it rounds out a bit near the end.

Bottle courtesy of cmr1517: Pours a dark gold. Very thick nose with sweet honey and a floral accent...as this warms the alcohol dominates to the point of distraction. Flavor was very strong with sweet honey and alcohol. I would have enjoyed this much more if it the strength was hidden a bit better.

Redlight. Very thick body. Golden honey. Felt very much like a spoonful of honey in my mouth. Very sweet honey and yeast mixes with pepper and alcohol. Very strong tasting, but very glad I tried this.

70cl ceramic bottle, wonder how i’ll get through this one. 21.8% pours clear dark yellow, no head. spicy marcipan, honey that has gone bad aroma. not quite nice. flavor is very honey sweet, add a barrage of bitterness from alc, and lots of herbal notes after that. ends very herbal and warming. unusual mead that goes way beyond honey-booze and into herbal tea honey booze land. when i got accustomed with it i sort of "got" it and i think it tastes cool. "mynte" might be one of the spices. fresh mouthfeel. quite a shock to my palate as my prior beer was a roodenberg gran cru.

Had at Redlight Redlight. This was a very bizarre mead. Flavors up front were sweet. Vanilla and honey. Then came some spice, black pepper and caraway seed, finishing with a slow alcohol burn. I wanted very much to like this one, and I loved the initial flavor, the end left me scratching my head. Very interesting flavor combo, but it was like drinking two different meads.

Golden color without any head. Sweet and flowery notes. Alcohol, honey sweetness and flowers. Full body with a sweet, vinous aftertaste.
