75 cL ceramic bottle. Pours clear and golden yellow with no head. Sweet raisin and alcohol aroma. Flavour is very spiced of cumen. Sharp alcohol and continued cumen spiced finish.

Clear golden with tiny short lasting head. Sweet aroma with notes of honey, cumen and ripe fruits. Flavor goes the same way with madeira notes. A bit boozy.

Courtesy redlight. This one is very interesting. The still pour is a light golden honey color. A swirl of the glass reveals nice, sticky legs, like a mead should. The aroma shows intense honey with a vodka-like, fumy alcoholic note. There is a faint herbal character to it as well, which Brent tells me is from the caraway seed. The flavor shows sweet honey and hints of orchard fruits, with a light touch of herbs coming through again. Medium-full, smooth, creamy body goes down warm from the alcohol. Very nice mead. Much better than their Viking Blod.

i’ve been wanting to try this one for sometime now. Spicy sweet honey aroma, with strong alcohol on the nose (fumes!). Pours light blonde, a lot lighter than the Viking Blod. OH MY. Thats got some alcohol burn, sweet but not too sweet like the Jadwiga, the caraway in the Danish Aquvit comes through nicely, but man can you taste the alcohol! Overall an amazing mead!!!

Provided by my generous friend LordErasmus! Very nice and thick - extremely sweet and a worth competitor to the champ Apis Lubelski (or Jadwiga). There seemed to be some herbs (coriander) present and a fair amount of complexity. Terrific.

Bottle. Transparent, uncarbonated, and a golden hue for the appearance. Nose was honey, sweet and alcohol. Flavor was honey, ABV was extremely noticeable, dry, and very harsh tasting. Mouthfeel was dry with a hot, burning sensation. Medium body. Absolutely over-the-top ABV and this is definitely a mead to be drank slowly.

Bottle. Colos is dark brown. Aroma and taste are honey and alcohol. Perfect balance. Excellent mead.
