Bottle in Copenhagen. Not as sweet or rich as some of the other meads I’ve had, but subtlety was quite nice. Honey with floral notes.

(Ceramic bottle 75 cl) Comes as "Gl. Dansk Eng-Mjød" - the old name for it. Amber coloured with a slight haze, completely flat. Thick honey aroma. Very sweet sherry flavours and distinct notes of honey and overripe fruit. Very warming alcohol. Spiced with meadowsweet. 111005

Very big and strong aromas of raw honey, notes of alcohol. Amber colored brew, completely still. Very sticky sweet honey flavor, leaves the palate quite dry.

(on bottle) Light browish. Very strong sent of alcohol, dispite the mere 14,8%. Can ditect som plume in there somewhere. Very sweet flavour, but also light mouthfeel; strange. Finishes with a flowergarden of niceness.

Pours dark copper colored with no head. Sweet honey and ethanol aroma, too overwhelming on the alcohol. Sweet and rather cloying flavor with lots of spices and fruit. Too sharp in the taste and not very balanced.

Bottled: Orange coloured. Clear. Honey, marcipan, light alcohol and sweetness in the aroma. Flavour is owerly sweet and cloying with strong alcoholnotes. Is sweet in the end, wiht a strong alcoholburnt on lips and palate. I have some difficulty with these meads. I don’t think they are bad, but I find it hard to really aprreciate them.

An orange mead - ofcourse without head. The aroma is extremely sweet - with overpowering notes of honey. The flavor is also extremely sweet with strong notes of honey, rosehips, and flowers.
