Sampled at Tria Fermentation School’s mead class, 5/8/07. Unique ruby color. Hot alcohol and floral honey aroma. Nice sweetness, accented nicely with herbal, floral flavor. Smooth body, with a a long lasting alcohol finish.

I was nearly pissed off after I got home from the beer store after purchasing this when I spent $20 for this 750. Then I drank it, shared it with others, and drank some more. Overall, a bunch of people got to try it from my purchase and all were quite happy with it. So, either everyone else is bashing this mead or they simply don’t like mead. Anyway, the mead pours to a very sexy glowing bronze body with a peach-like tint. The legs are long, thick, and lasting. Watery yet viscous looking. The aroma is divine. Sweet honey, flowers, sherry. The alcohol is vaporous and hits the nose very nicely. It lingers nicely. There are notes of hibiscus. The flavor is sweet honey up front with flowers and aged hops with some sherry. Light sulfurous characteristics. The palate is sweet, slightly sticky, nicely coating, but perhaps a touch thin. Anyway, this was great!

Bottle shared by Blake. Clear brownish amber with fantastic, gooey legs. Big alcohol in the aroma over sweet, smooth honey and spicy herbs. Sweet, smooth honey flavor with wet caramelly sugar and light spicy herbs on the edges. Rich, coating mouthfeel with appropriate alcohol. Great stuff!

Clear, dirty gold body. No Head... looks nice. Nice legs on this bitch. Aroma is spicy honey and apples. Taste is, uh... spicy honey and apples. Some well-water mineral aspects too and nutrasweetened fruit juice. A little hot. But I suppose its par for the course in that respect. Overall, very good.

pours like a dark apple juice w/ no head but some great leggs. Aroma of honey, apples, and tons of alcohol. Full body well caoted and lightly creamy. Intense flavor. alcohol is well hidden in the flavor but the swallow burns like a liquor. Tons of honey w/ a good amount of apples and a tiny tart apple skin. Very hot but quite nice.

Bottle. Taste of honey, apple, flowers. No carbonation as u might expect in the style. Did not taste hops. Very mild... some slight sourness. In the direction of a liquer. 19% alcohol.

Spicy, honey aroma. Pours light amber. Wow this tastes like cognac with hops in it. Sweet honey, thick, spicy, cinamon, all spice, feint signs of citrus fruit. Strong alcohol prescence.
