Bottle @ RBESG2005. Very sweet liquor like nose, with strong notes of alcohol and some butter. Light copper colored body, completely still. Very sweet and smooth flavor, alcohol and honey. Very good mead.

Paler than expected with a light amber color. Honest legs. Rich, heavyly alcoholic notes with plenty of vaporous fruit smells (apricot, pear). Strong herbal presence, heavily cerealic for all the honey in there. Floral palate doesn’t feel like any hard alcohol I’ve ever had, but this elixir does leave a strong burn if you hold it long. Somehow spicy flavor profile, rich, strong, heavy honey of various kinds. Interesting drink. I suppose I’d like it more with less apparent alcohol, it is a little too much now and hides the other flavors a bit.

Dark golden colour. Sweet honey/beehive aroma. Flavour is sweet, but I miss some more honey taste.

A shared sample from a bottle that Bierkonig got to wohlfs, or something like that. Rich sweet bodied mead with a huge alcoholic breath, syrupy as it warms, all carmelized and sugary. Hints of flower and apple. Hints of complexity as well. Too alcoholic for my tastes, though.
