Brown with Orange Hue..No Head. Syrapy Caramel Malt Aroma. Syrpay Rich Malt...Alot of Warming..Understandable Given it’s 15%...But Yet Still Very Balanced...Hoppy Bitterness to Keep This Brew on the Ground...Dry Tongue Burning Aftertaste... Overall Pretty Amazing Balance for a BW That High in Alc. Kudos for Going Extreme...On the Flip Side, a Hard Drinking Barleywine.

Bottle via trade with artusory, thanks again! Amber-brown pour with a short white head. Candied fruit, vanilla, bready malt and some oak make up the pungent aroma. Flavors of vanilla, booze, candied fruit, oak, and caramel malt come through. Sweet in the front with some dry woodiness in btween breaking up the flavor a bit making it fell a bit more complex and not too sweet. Bittersweet/woody finish. Some minor kinks...it is a bit hot, but still a really nice brew.

Bottle thanks to hopdog. Dark amber body. Aroma and flavor were very sweet of brown sugar and dark dried fruits. Perhaps it needs to age but it seemed way too hot for me. Finish had a very whiskey-like feel to it... way too harsh. It could have potential if it hid the alcohol better.

Bottle from Ughsmash, thanks a ton!!! Orange peel, brown sugar, and caramel malt aroma is nice. Hazy chestnut pour with a medium head. The palate is thick and smooth. Sweet flavor with hints of orange zest and molasses. Slight alcohol burn in the finish.

Bottle shared by nolankowal. Poured a dark brown color with a little head. Aroma very sweet with a brown sugar, dark fruits, and alcohol. Flavor was sweet and pretty hot with a lot of maltiness. Very good until it started to burn the back of my throat.

Bottle shared by nolankowal: Deep amber color with an off white head. Aroma, caramel, brown sugar, and some earthy notes. Flavor, earthy, woody, some caramel, a bit on the hot side. But still really solid. Damn good brew.

Re-rate on tap @ the brewpub: Definitely more hop forward since it seems it was a new batch, very well balanced, rich caramel malts, I had forgotten how high the ABV was until a bartender mentioned it and I was blown away, there wasn’t a trace of heat or booze from it at all. Extremely well hidden. Very nice stuff.
