tennisjoel (741), Shakopee, Minnesota, USA Sep 6, 2008 Orange pour with a small particalia present in the body. Malt focused, with a belgian like twist. Aromas of apricot, mango. Enjoyable amber, maybe a little sweet for my taste however. PolakPorter (74), Chicago, Illinois, USA Aug 31, 2008 As far as ambers go, this was forshevidently one of the better ones. Ambers far from my favorite style, so I’ll try not to hold that against it. Amber pour, clean sweet malt smell with a touch of hops. Taste was a bit hoppier than expected. I really enjoyed this one. If you are set on seeking out standout brew from an unexciting style, give this ber a whirl. hogan873 (195), Joliet, Illinois, USA Aug 29, 2008 Nice amber body with a very thin beige head. The light aroma is all sweetness with caramel, toffee, and malt. Smooth albeit thin palate with low carbonation. The flavor pretty much mimics the aroma. Caramel, malt, and some biscuit. Very smooth all of the way through, no bitterness at all. A tasty beer that really has no personality. illkarate (47), Bloomington, Indiana, USA Aug 16, 2008 12oz bottle - pours a nice reddish, amber color (as you might expect). Very little head to speak of, but it is off white. Malt is at the forefront of this beer, it is also a bit sweeter than I expected. I detect figs, butterscotch, hints of ascorbic acid, maybe cloves... While this is fairly easy to drink, it’s too sweet (i.e. not balanced enough) to make this a session beer. General_Gao (2568), Iowa City, Iowa, USA Aug 6, 2008 12oz bottle. Poured a clear dark orange color. The head was short, off white, and reduced immediately to a thin film. Smelled of light toffee, subdued graham cracker, and cereal grain. Light to medium bodied and slightly sweet. Earthy, spicy malt flavor with hints of clove, cinnamon, and fig.
