| 2.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | Nov 9, 2007 A thin white head. Golden light amber in pour. Aroma of spices (similar to a weak pumpkin ale). Not much in the taste. A bitter finish. MoDog (927), Griffith, Indiana, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Oct 29, 2007 Poured from a 12oz bottle and served in a shaker. This beer poured a chill hazed light amber color with a two-finger thick beige head that slightly lasted. Some decent lace was left behind. The aroma of the beer was made up of sweet malts, orange, light caramel, and also a bit of bread. The flavor consisted of crisp lemony citrus notes and some sweet malts. Not much going on. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied with decent carbonation. A very average brew from Dark Horse. Sammy (4030), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 14, 2007 When something is called amber, I ordinarily would not expect it to be called a pale, rather a hoppy American. And that’s closer to my experience. On-tap at Cole’s./ Grapefruit colour, lots of lace. Hoppy aroma and hoppy taste, with fruit. Medium mouthfeel. estoppel (1028), Buffalo, New York, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Oct 4, 2007 Tap. Reddish amber body, small off-white head, not much nose. Estery, spicy, sort of dry bitterness near finish, not much in the hop department. Not a favorite. swoopjones (1917), Buffalo, New York, USA

Belgian yeast adds an interesting abbey double like twist here. Caramel flavor with mild bitterness. Pretty good wmubronco1992 (185), Coldwater, Michigan, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 14/20 | Sep 21, 2007 Draft at the brewpub. Coudy Amber color. Good size off white head. Good lacing. Had this in a bottle before, but its much better on tap. More earthly then some ambers and that is a good thing in my book. Slight carmel flavor, but not overpowering. Good, solid, very drinkable beer. lampeno420 (321), Zeeland, Michigan, USA
