Commercial Description:
100% malted barley gives this classic ale a mild biscuit, toasted malt taste. This is a medium bodied beer with perfect balance of malt flavors. The color is a brilliant amber, while the aroma is slightly fruity and malty.

Unfiltered look with deep orange hue. Light head, full bodied flavor of malty sweetness, but too sweet for me. Prefer a lighter, drier Amber, but OK. On tap at Lunar Brewing.

Clear fizzy amber beer (duh), with a frothy lace - lightly sweet, herbal aroma, with some floral notes and hints of buttered toast - low carbonation in the mouth - mild flavor - some light bread and butter, followed by subtle hop bitterness and slight herbal qualities - light, bordering on bland - why do I try amber ales again?

Bottle, Light hoppy aroma, with hints of caramel apple. Small off white head. Clear medium amber in color with no particles. Tinges of orange peel and coriander definitely present. I prefer Bells amber Ale over this.

Tasted 5/11/08. 12oz bottle. Hazy honey amber hue. Off white head. Yeasty nose. Apples and citrus with a touch breadiness. Medium bodied and sticky sweet. Hint of Iced Tea. Citrus hops. Toffee flaovr with a subtle burnt sugary flavor. Tart and toasty. Fresh green hops. Nice effervescence. Estery with an almost Belgian yeast character. Odd.

Draft @ Brewpub: Pours cloudy, looks like apple cider. Sweet, cidery smell like fermented apples almost, with some caramel malts. Very bready, intense malt profile. A bit too much for my tastes.

reddish brown color with almost no head. Fruity and a sweet floral aroma. Very light fruit, caramel, toasted and a slight bit at the end. One of my nfavorite brewers, just not one of my favorite styles. Not bad though.

12 oz bottle - crystal clear light amber color with small off white head. Aroma is fairly malty, toasty, lots of light caramel, hint of apricot and faint herbal hops. Flavor is chewy, malty, light caramel, touch of vanilla and oak, lightly toasty. Finish is mildly sweet. Overall fairly nice amber, not amazing, but a quality session beer, if maybe a bit underattenuated.

The fruitful flavor on this amber ale is unique and pleasingly palatable. Low hops but you don’t miss them, I know now where this brewer gets its name.
