Bottle. Very nicely done brown ale. Rich malty aromas mix with hops in the nose. Deep chestnut color. Thin head. Malts dominate the taste, very rich and nutty. Hops show in the tail end nicely. Recommended!

Thanks to Mike at the brewpub ( a customer) for an old bottle! Very dark brown, nearly opaque. Chocolate and toffee nose with some bitter hints! Rich and chewy body, I think this has aged well, pure toffee aftertaste and some dryness, coffee hints, alcohol and bitter chocloate. Very good all warm and straight out of a car trunk!

small beige head on a dark beer--closer to black than brown. nutty, toasty, malty, almondy. flavor is very almond-like, plenty of toasty malt with only a tiny bit of hidden bitterness. earthy, soily feel, some woody tannins. good brown ale.

Nice beer bottle brown color, nearly opaque with rusty edges, thin tan cap adorns the top A thin collar keeps and the lacing is spongy in strings. Nose is mild with a slight roasty malt and a bit of caramel and toffee. Taste brings out much more, thank goodness for that, and whats there is quite nice for a brown. Well rounded taste, mild and foregoing, lengthy and bold. Roasty, husky, earthen malts speak easy across the palate, moderately sweet with a dark toffee tang. Some astringencies are present, but not eagerly so, just right I think. Feel is good with about a medium body and a peppy carbonation. Lightly dry roasty touch slips into the finish. A fine brown ale to be sure, not as sweet as others which was good. More of a straight up roastyness with a small earthy, raw grains taste that’s nicer then most browns.

Decent brown ale flavor and aroma. A little weak for my tastes, but overall not too bad.

Standard stuff, average brown pour. Malty, chocolate, nutty, toffee aroma. Slightlt sweet with mild bitter undertone. Some woody and smoky finish tones. Quaffable but that's about it, I've had worse.

Chocolate malt aroma, chestnut in colour, a small toffee head. Good malt flavour, with a nice touch of hops. Well balanced, a really good example!
