Standard IPA aroma of hops, citrus, with some grapefruit. Flavor is a lot of hops, citrus, pine, grapefruit, malts, and a little dry. Very good IPA. josephselander (42), Salem, Oregon, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 18, 2009 Appearance – Wow… pours a amber yellow color but in the glass this baby is pure unfiltered thick dark orange. Has a frothy creamy colored off white head about 2 and a half fingers large. As the head recedes ever so slowly it leaves quite a show of lace behind. This looks like a hefe, and it looks quite inviting right now.
Smell – citrus, pine, floral hops, and a nice healthy malty finish in the nose.
Taste – The carbonation hits you hard, in a good way. This has the “zing” I love! Although the hops seem a bit subdued in this, but that may be because it tastes like it is very balanced. That malty finish in the nose comes through as well in the taste; really helps to round this one out. If anything stood out more than the other in this, I would say it has a stronger floral or earthy pine taste to it above all, especially on the tongue a bit after taking a sip.
Mouthfeel – Nice and thin, not too resiny feeling. This doesn’t leave a lasting taste or feeling in your mouth, and on a hot day like today, this is very much a welcome attribute in a beer.
Drinkability – This is a great drinker, I can sip it or I can take some big swigs, depends on how much of that “zing” I want to hit me. Great beer, wish I could get it over here. jkwalking05 (1501), Arlington, Texas, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | May 7, 2009 12oz bottle. Pours cloudy ruby orange with a medium white head. Pleasant aroma of citrus and hops. Initial sips reveal one-note flavors of bittering hops with pine. After the palate gets used to the bitterness, the balancing flavors of citrus and malt come through. Thin on the palate and maybe a bit too watery. Aftertaste is long and bitter. Overall a nice drinkable IPA. a10555 (125), West Chester, Ohio, USA
