Commercial Description:
It’s not as heavy bodied and malty as many IPA’s, in contrast the palate is more crisp and dry. If you consider yourself a "hop-head" you owe it to yourself to grab this beer.

12oz bottle from mmm///beer. Pours a slightly hazed golden orange with a fluffy off white head. Light fresh peach and pine dominated the nose. Flavor had a great balance between malt and hops.

12 oz. bottle from The Detroit haul. Shared with Naka. Pours hazy golden with foamy, half finger white head. A few floaters throughout. Nose of earthy and pine hops, some mild sweet caramel undertones. Caramel backbone with mild chocolate. Not a ton of hop flavor, but what is there is earthy and floral. Strong, crisp bitter that sticks from the end well into the after, almost a "cloyingly bitter" baste that sticks in the back of the throat. A tasty beer. Not a very American IPA with huge citrus, but seems more classic. Big on IBUs but not the hop nose/flavor. Yum.

Bottle courtesy of tytoanderso. Pours a cloudy orange copper. Minimal head with some soapy lacing. Tons o’ chunkies in this one. I should have decanted better- I haven’t seen this many floaties in a beer in a long time. Should be tasty! Nose- earthy malts and hops. Taste-caramelmalts and bittering hops that smoothes out after a couple of sips. Lighter bodied than expected. Assertive alpha hops show up on the tail end for a dry bitter finish with a touch of sweetness. Carbonation is medium. Nice drinkin IPA

Draft@ the brewpub. Hazy amber with a frothy 1" head, nice lacing. Nice floral hop aroma. Smooth medium body. Taste is decent enough with floral/grapefruit hops on a mild malt base. Finishes nicely bitter. Not too bad.

RATING 400!!! This was one of my very first beers outside of the realm of BMC. Had my first bottle back in 2001 (the old paper label with tons of cheap glue- remember kids?), and thought that the "spice" made it very interesting. But now, let’s crack this puppy open- 12 oz. bottle poured into tulip- poured slightly hazy, brownish amber color, white ring around the head, slight lacing, low carbonation. Aroma of citrus, lemon, and floral hops. Hits the mouth with an easy drinking medium body, very tiny amount of sweetness at the start, the hops kick in at the middle and take over for the rest of the swallow. Finish is unique in the way that the hops continue to assault the tongue even after swallow. Slightly out of balance overall, but that’s what makes this brew so good. Go have your "Tinker" crap, I’ll take a DARK HORSE anyday!

Very easy drinking IPA, All the best attributes of an IPA but not overwhelming! My first review is one of my long time fav’s!

Bottle pours hazy orange brown with lots of particles, a small short lived head, and some tiny spot lace. The aroma is of fresh grapefruit and sweetness. The flavor is strong and aggressive hops up front, pine, grapefruit, lemon, and some bready malt underneath it all. This is better as it warms – it becomes more balanced and less harsh. Starts to show some sweetness. The palate is rough and scrubbing. I like it.

On tap @ Radio Maria. Poured hazy amber with floaties, carbonation, and some lacing. Aroma is hoppy and piny, with some grapefruit and banana. Taste very similiar with crisp finish. This definitely is not as intense and malty as other IPA’s but would make a very good session beer. Quality beer.
