A bit one dimensional, in that it’s hoppy and little else, but the hops character is very well done, pleasant, and delicious. Tasty, not an overwhelmingly hoppy beer, and highly drinkable. | 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Oct 28, 2007 Pours and extremely cloudy, dark copper color with a lot of leftovers in the bottom of the glass. Had a very nice fluffy, thick head with great retention and great lacing. It looked as if it was very full bodied and viscous but this is not either...it is actually quite light to medium bodied, with a very pale malty dryness. The bready feel leads the way to a very solid hop overload. The complexity isn’t quite there, and the balance isn’t traditionally good, but its a very good alternative IPA style. I enjoyed this one deline7 (13), Michigan, USA

Malt sweetness strikes a great balance with the hop bitterness and flavor. Finshes mostly clean. Very drinkable. Hop addict approved. jmikolich (405), Athens, Ohio, USA

| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Oct 7, 2007 Thanks JB175 for the bottle. Very dark, hazy orange color with a big fluffy head. Smells of pine and freshly mowed grass. Flavor is some bitternes upfront balanced with sweet caramel type malts. Body is slightly weak. Pretty average IPA. MoDog (927), Griffith, Indiana, USA
| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Oct 3, 2007 Poured from a 12oz bottle and served in a shaker. This IPA poured a hazy, amber/orange with a thin, beige head that had decent retention. Some thick, chunky lace was left around the glass. The aroma of the beer was made up of caramel, toffee, grass, and pine. The flavor consisted of grapefruit, pine, and caramel. Excellent balance of flavors, finishing of with a dry, citrus bitterness. The mouthfeel was medium-bodied and slightly oily with minimal carbonation. Overall, this was a very well done IPA, and quite quaffable. masonjer (564), Holt, Michigan, USA

Smelled really nice, fresh oranges, tropical fruit, piney hops. Taste was very well balanced, citrus body, with a distant malt backbone that faded into a nice hop finish. Really enjoyed it.
re-rate: I really enjoy this beer. Almost equal to two hearted for me. Great on draft, great out of a bottle. Nice dark orange color. Huge tangerine and pine. Super solid across the board. BDR (2169), Roseville, Minnesota, USA
