Commercial Description:
It’s not as heavy bodied and malty as many IPA’s, in contrast the palate is more crisp and dry. If you consider yourself a "hop-head" you owe it to yourself to grab this beer.

Bottle. Pour is a light golden color, slightly cloudy, with a nice sized off white head that hangs on. Aroma is typica IPA, grapefruit, pine, floral. Taste is more of the same grapefruit, pine, floral. Palate is crisp, light to medium bodied, refreshing. Very good.

Next to Two Hearted, this is one of the best IPA’s Ive had. Crisp wtih floral and piney hops. Gotta love bottle conditioning. Lots of sediment and dark murkiness. I love it!

Thanks Secret Santa. Great pine and floral aroma. Hazy copper body with decent head. Crisp dry citrus grapefruit flavor. Like the syupy one bettter but this was a good beer after an eight hour shift. Cool and crisp on the palate with some dryness but nothing a glass of water for hydrayion can’t heal. Thanks.

12 oz bottle. Hazy apricot leaves a big melted marshmallow with spotty lace. Pine, orange blossum and caramel. Taste is malt up front then marmalade. Light spicy drying. Finally a little anise and grapefruit.

12 oz bottle pours amber orange with a tan head. Piney sweet citrus aromas with sweet carmel citrus and pine flavors. Lacking that hearty bitterness and anything else to make it stand out among other ipas.

12 ounce bottle. Pours rich amber orange with a light tan colored head. Heavy sticky pine and peach nectar aromas. Well balanced malt sweetness with the grapefruit and pine resin. Sticky full palate, with a rush of bubbles. Really a pretty nice beer.

From a 12 oz. long neck bottle with no freshness date. Poured a cloudy, with floaties, burnt orange with a foamy, creamy off-white head that settled into a thin bubbly lacing. Aromas of rudy grapefruit, a bit zesty as well, floral with a light leafiness, and grainy, sweet malts. Good carbonation and a crisp, dry, slick, creamy smooth light bodied mouthfeel. Pleasant hop taste, an earthy spiciness, a soft, sweet tropical fruitiness, grainy with a touch of caramelized maltiness, and a dry hoppy and grainy finish, a slightly wood bark, earthy bitterness lingering in the palate. A very drinkable IPA from Dark Horse, I wish their brews were available in Illinois.

12oz bottle via trade with Pailhead. Aroma: Lots of piney hops up front. Some resin and a bit of grapefruit join in on the hop end. Light maltiness with a slightlysweet carame nose. Appearance: Deep golden in color and just slightly hazed. Off-white head was full and frothy with good retention. Flavor: A bit of toasted nuts up front, a hint of caramel, and then the hops jump in. Pine is the dominant flavor, but also getting a little orange juice, some sticky resin, and a bit of grassiness as it finishes. Bitterness is fairly strong and works well with the dry finish. Palate: Medium-light bodied. Medium carbonation. Overall: A decent IPA that definatly isn’t shy about the hops. A touch more malt might have balanced out the bitterness and helped with mouthfeel.
