Hazy orange, frothy small head with some good lacing. Wonderful citrus aroma. Wonderful citrus hops taste - lots of lemon citrus. Fairly one dimensional, but enough body to back it up. I liked it a lot. daboskabouter (1470), Fergus, Ontario, Canada
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 7/20 | Jul 25, 2006 Golden amber colour with a frizzy white head. The nose is resiney hops with a hint of citrus and some alcohol. When agitated, there are some phenols present in the nose as well. This IPA has a smooth body with a very bitter front, not resiney or citrusy or flavorful, just bitter. Very little malt to speak of and a very scarce hint of sweetness at the back. This beer is just bitter, I’d even go so far as to say it’s bland. No flavor, only hops. I don’t now why it’s in the 84 percentile. I wouldn’t even put it in my top 84 percentile of IPAs. jerc (3947), Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Sweet orange hops in aroma, very muted resin. Fair bit of bitterness, mild orange and resin. Green leafy character comes out a lot more as the glass goes on. Average palate. Quite nice. | 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Jul 23, 2006 Sampled at the Michigan Brewers Guild Summer Beer Festival. Deep sweet nose on a cider looking, headless brew. Light drinking, light bitter ending. Middle of the mouth feel, very mellow. This brew seems to evaporate from your mouth. Not sure where it went. The pleasant bitter taste stays awhile. I could get used to this IPA. Terminus (1955), Las Cruces, New Mexico, USA
| 3.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | Jul 17, 2006 tap at brewery in Marshall-hazy apricot with a small soapy white head and sparse lacing. highly floral and light pine nose. smells like a cascade hop bag. big pine and grapefruit flavors with some resin in there. very bitter ipa here. medium body with a good level of carbonation. finish is very piney with lightering resin . not much malt here to speak of, but a great hop nose with nice hop flavors. if you like your ipa’s hoppy and nothing else, check this one out. Great aroma and appearance, but the taste just didnt quite measure up. A little thin and was lacking a strong hoppy taste. A pretty average IPA argo0 (6969), Washington DC, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jun 27, 2006 (12oz bottle) Hazy amber body with medium off-white head. Aroma is moderately sweet, orange/floral, grapefruit, caramel. Taste is medium sweet, grapefruit, pine, caramel, some orange, dry finish. Quite bitter. Soft, resiny, medium-full body. A bit unbalanced, but somethimes that’s just what the hophead ordered.
