Flavor is some strange tasting and very bitter hops, sweet honey, and not too much malt. Mouth feel is quite carbonated and dry. Zeswaft (1000), Seattle, Washington, USA

It pours murky copper with a one finger white head. Average bitterness for an IPA and some nice grapefruit hops. Again I think it could be fresher. There is a little bit of that fart Hopdevil flavor. Has a pretty firm malt backbone. sersdf (1000), chicago, Illinois, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | May 31, 2006 a really spicy aroma. pretty standard appearance. i think this bottle might be old or slightly infected. maybe it’s weird hops. but it’s not a traditional hops aroma at all. kinda light. i don’t like it illinismitty (1799), Nashville, Tennessee, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 30, 2006 Updated: Jan 26, 2007Bottle. Pours amber with a slight haze, and nice white head that goes all the way down the glass. Strong aroma of toffee and floral and citrus hops. Flavor is dominated by citrusy hops, with a sweet earthy malt backbone. Very bitter finish has a hint of orange, along with some pepperlike spiciness. And boy does that bite linger. Pretty solid aggressive IPA. Two Hearted is still my favorite Michigan IPA, but this would be a good backup. Underrated IMO. punkrkr27 (638), Berkley, Michigan, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 6/10 | 5/5 | 15/20 | May 30, 2006 Poured amber orange with a ver big off-white head. Big pine and citrus aroma. Flavor is loads of hops from start to finish. A definate hop-head’s delight. Just barely enough malts to balance. Nice full mouthfeel too. brewblackhole (1384), Muskego, Wisconsin, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 17/20 | May 25, 2006 Bottle - Hazy apricot color with a nice size head that doesn’t fade away too quickly. Aroma is a sweet fruity scent. Heavier than lots of IPAs. Flavor is a citrus laden bitterness with just enough malt to keep your mouth from puckering. I can’t wait to try their double! stoutlvr (52), Lansing, Michigan, USA
