Nose of citrus, peach, earth, sweet malts, mild diacetyl. Flavor is somewhat off- ethan says peanut shell- whatever it is it doesn’t taste very fresh. It’s okay overall, but I remember the double version tasting much better. travita (1910), Frisco, Texas, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | May 7, 2009 12oz bottle. Pours cloudy ruby orange with a medium white head. Pleasant aroma of citrus and hops. Initial sips reveal one-note flavors of bittering hops with pine. After the palate gets used to the bitterness, the balancing flavors of citrus and malt come through. Thin on the palate and maybe a bit too watery. Aftertaste is long and bitter. Overall a nice drinkable IPA. a10555 (125), West Chester, Ohio, USA

| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | May 1, 2009 Pours cloudy dark copper color with bits of yeast and a nice light beige head. Great grapefruit and pine hop aroma. The flavor is similar, a lot of citrus, some pine and grass. The body is indeed crisp and somewhat dry. Very enjoyable IPA, kind of like a Two Hearted light, similar flavor but not as much character. cheapdark (2017), Monacatootha, Pennsylvania, USA

Some as large as one inch flakes, quite alarming. Smells like pine needles. First taste is very rude and unkind to my lager lover taste buds. Reminds me somewhat of chewing an inner tube. Strong alky laced turpentine tar flavors. Pine trees and green grapefruits will rejoice! Bitter long medicianl finish that reminds me of the best DIIPAs. Good carbonation for an IPA. Oily unrefined hops finish. Simply terrible and on style. "
