courtesy of retorp. Bottle has a good year+ age. Pours deep black with dark brown head / mahogany head. Aroma has some light smoke that remain on the low side wit dark fruits. Taste has once again some low key smoke with an ever present mouthfeel of the dark fruits(black currants) that became more prominent as the beer warmed up. Some nice roasted malts and coffee with a very faint smoke. Beer did seem a lot stronger in abv, and had a nice wamring mouthfeel.

Bottle, courtesy sebletitje. Pours pitch black, with a small creamy head and very creamy lacing. Nose is nice and smoky, with chocolate and coffee, and toffee and caramel. Flavor is great, with smoke, some roast and hints of caramel and coffee, and dark fruit ad big toasted malt in the finish. Smooth, dry, extremely drinkable, medium-bodied. Enjoyed it a lot.

Inky Black. Slight smokey smell, along with roasty malts. Smoke aspect is very muted in taste, but the stout aspects are solid, rich coffee, coco and fruit? Maybe. I always like some serious smoke in my smoked beer though

Near black pour with a brownish head. Roast malt and coffee aromas, earthy, some smoke. Full bodied, just a bit of liveliness in the mouth. Flavor similar to nose, but with a bit of chocolate and toffee or nut. Smoke is present but very unterstated. Finishes clean, not real lingering. Would expect this to stay with you a bit longer. Another in the line of excellent dark beers from Dark Horse. My least favorite of the number beers thus far however.

12oz bottle. Super dark pour, with a small tan head. Nice smokey aroma, also smells a bit like scotch. Smooth, smokey flavor as well, very drinkable. Good stuff.

12oz bottle from Parti-Pak Liquors (Indianapolis, IN). Pours a dark black impermeable color with a tan milk chocolate head. Aroma is malty with notes of dark chocolate, roasted malt, heavy cream and just a hint of smoke. Flavor is smoky and malty with notes of plums, coffee, dark chocolate, earthy esters dark ripe fruit and smoked mullet. Full body with a pleasing malty and smoky finish.
