Brewed in the USA.... Pours a very dark brown color with a super thin beige head. Aroma of oats, mats and some chocolate notes. Taste is much of the same with the addition of some coffee flavors. Mouthfeel is kind of thin yet very smooth with a sweet bitter finish. This stout is very drinkable and the 8% is hidden very well.

Draft at Capones. Poured a deep dark black body with an average sized frothy beige head. Aroma was perfect!!! Lots of coffee, oats, chocolate, roasty..simply awesome. The body was slightly thinner then I was expecting with soft carbonation and a bitter finish. The flavor had some definite earth and dirt notes, coffee grinds and bitter dark chocolate. As good as this beer was the aroma had me expecting a little bit more.

Bottle @ Kuma’s. Pours black/dark brown with a nice tan head. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, and some coffee. Good thick flavor - coffee and chocolate stand out. Slightly bitter, very enjoyable. I might have to pick it up in the store.

Cask Ale festival, Chelsea Pier, NYC. Aroma is roasty, coffee. The apparance is true to the style, deep brown/black, tan head. The flavor is coffee, chocolate, roasty, sweet and bitter. The finish is roasted coffee bitter, with a slight warming from booze. Not original, but enjoyable.

12 ounce bottle from my summer secret Santa. Pours a pitch black color with a thin brown head. Poor head retention and lacing. Aroma is lightly tart with notes of chocolate and light roast. Taste is rich, rich, roasted malts, chocolate, creamy notes from the oats, coffee, bitter hops, berries. Very smooth, creamy and a bitter finish. Medium bodied.

12 oz. bottle - dark brown with thin tan head; oats, roast and some chocolate; texture is thin as is the flavor profile; much like the TOO, this one was pretty bland and disappointing

Bottle. Pours thick and black with a little head. Leaves a yellow sheet of coating on the glass. Roasted grain, Hersheys chocolate bar and lacto aroma. Taste is smooth roasted grain, chocolate milk with a touch of bitterness. Finishes with a touch of chocolate. Just an awesome brew.
