Commercial Description:
Number one in a series of five stouts produced for the fall and winter seasons. This beer is full bodied with hints of chocolate, roasted barley, coffee flavors and a nice creamy head.

Roasted malt aroma with light coffee. Black body with a medium head. Full palate. Lots of really strong coffee flavors with some chalky tastes and a hint of chocolate. Nice.

12 ounce bottle from BBB63
Pours black with a cappaccino brown colored head. The aroma has the aroma of those no bake drop cookies that my mom used to make me. Lots of oats and cocoa. The flavor has that kind of twang that I associate with oatmeal stouts. Nice choclate and coffee flavor. A long bitter finish. Milky mouthfeel. There are no signs of the 8% alcohol stated above.
Nice beer. Thanks Mike.

12 oz. bottle via trade with sliffy - Pours a thick dark brown color with a thin tan head that faded pretty quick. No lacing. Aroma is raosted malt, chocolate, and light esters. Smells alot like a nice Imperial Stout. Flavor is roasted malt, and light coffee and chocolate. Palate is a little dry with a bitter finish. Medium body. I think this would make a better Baltic Porter than a Sweet Stout. A nice beer. Thanks Dan.

Bottle from Keg Liqour. Poured a dark brown color with a large brown frothy head that lasted with good lacing. Medium complex toasted malty aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture. Medium roasted balanced flavor with a heavy roasted dark chocolate finish of long duration. This is a standout brew.

Thank you Skyview! Black color with a thin head. Strong aroma of chocolate and oats. Solid taste of chocolate and Noble hops. Dry finish. Quite fine, even if it tastes nothing like a sweet stout.

Bottle shared with Hogtown Harry, biegaman, Blankboy, courtesy of blankboy. Mild aroma - mild aroma - slight roast, chocolaty, very sweet. Black, small brown head. Taste - thin, sweet - more like a porter. Dusty old stout. Not too bad, tasty and interesting.

One of the best sweet stouts I have had anywhere. I didn’t know the abv was so high. Lots of chocolate in the aroma and flavor. Very light coffee and considerable malt with a subtle roasted character.

Very dark and thick in the glass with a one finger beige head. Aroma of milk chocolate, oatmeal and coffee. Full bodied. Taste mirrors the aroma, with rolled oats, roasty coffee and chocolate, and a kick of hops. One of the better Dark Horse stouts.
