| 3.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Sep 6, 2009 Black pour with a brown head. Aroma of sweet malt, roasted malt, a little bit of coffee. Taste is nice and creamy, roasted malt, a little burnt taste. It left lacing on the glass. It leaves a nice roasted flavor in the mouth. All the tastes combine well. I bought a 4 pack and wish it came in a 6-er. cgarvieuk (4234), Edinburgh, Scotland

| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 29, 2009 Dark pour with no real head. Moderate carbonation with a much lighter aroma than I expected. Smells of roasted malts, chocolate, and hints of coffee. Flavor was smooth and pretty much reflected the aroma. It was a very drinkable stout. I wouldn’t say that it was anything to write home about but I would drink it again if I had the chance. michael-pollack (2755), King of Prussia, Pennsylvania, USA
