Aroma of cocoa, coffee, dark fruits, some dark chocolate, and licorice. Rich, chocolatey flavor, with notes of smoke, dark fruits. Chewy, exhausting mouthfeel. Lots of flavor and the 12% is not noticeable. Been waiting for this for a while and it did not disappoint. fredandboboflo (1431), East Setauket, New York, USA
| 4.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 9/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 5/5 | 18/20 | Apr 16, 2009 Bottle. Aroma of lightly roasted coffee, cocoa, alcohol drizzled dark fruits, milk chocolate, bitter chocolate, smoke, cookie malt, simply a superbly well-rounded impy nose. Flavor, fortunately, is more of the same. Superbly rich and superbly drinkable. Excellent. LilBeerDoctor (1530), East Setauket, New York, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Apr 15, 2009 Bottle thanks to Beerlando. Pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is quite chocolatey, with some roasted and cookie malts. Nougat and toffee notes too. Flavor is sweet with cookie malt and roasted malt. Not SUPER heavy, but the 12% is definitely noted. An interesting impy with some character.

Malty chocolate aroma with some coffee character. Malty flavor with a bit of smoke, chocolate and a bitter coffee finish. Alcohol is in there, but well hidden. Good stuff. bretupdegraff (182), Fishers, Indiana, USA

All vitamins are chewable, it’s just that they taste shitty. I’m glad they made Flintstone’s vitamins because I used to watch The Flintstones and go, "Man I bet you if I ate that dude, I would be healthy punkrkr27 (649), Berkley, Michigan, USA
| 4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 5/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Apr 9, 2009 Black pour with a short lived, 1 finger, tan head. Definitely has the classic rich coffee/chocolate aroma of a good imperial stout but leads more to the chocolate side. There’s just a slight wafting hint of the alcohol too. The flavor is very intense and hot. 12% alcohol is very evident. There is huge, bitter black coffee and baker’s chocolate notes. Oily full mouth-feel with a fair amount of carbonation and a strong alcohol warming sensation as you swallow. This is very intense and would benefit greatly from some aging to mellow it out. Dark brown pour with a tiny tan head that evaporates immediately. Nice chocolate aroma with a light hop backbeat and a small bit of coffee. Tasty coffee, roast and chocolate flavor with again a mild hop bite. Smooth palate with a bit of a bite at the back. Another Michigan winner.
