12 oz. bottle - pours thin, jet black with huge coffee aromas; very smooth and roasty; lots of chocolate, molasses and rich coffee in the flavors; a tad on the thin side, but otherwise terrific stout

tronraner’s Xmas Eve Eve Eve Tasting. Sample from a bottle share by me, thanks to wetherel for the trade. Pitch black almost no head. Spots of tan bubbles. Aroma is big chocolate aroma and roasted malt. Taste is chocolate, thick and viscous, with a big body of roasted malt and a slight soy sauce hint.

Bottle at Xmas Eve Eve Eve. It pours silently a black black with small tan head. The aroma is molasses, dark fruit, and some soy sauce. The flavor is roastiness, ashy sourness, bitter chocolate, and a dryish finish. Quite tasty.

Bottle shared by lithy at the Christmas E^3 tasting. Opaque with an eight-inch lasting head. Coffee and chocolate aroma. Flavor is mocha on the front, with light alcohol and tobacco drying the finish. Medium-heavy body is creamy and ends roast-dry.

Bottle from toncatcher at home. Pours an opaque black with a brown diminishing head. Sweet with aromas of roasted malts and coffee. Low bitterness. Also some caramel and a hints of coffeeliquir and port. Mellow fruity hops aromas. Soft and velvety mouthfeel. Soft carbonation. Only alcohol to be spotted is a tiny hint of warmth in the finish. Bitter finish with more coffee and a bit of hops. Wonderful. Thanks Dennis!

tap at the Dark Horse 4 Elf festival - Pours black with a thin tan head and has a big roast malt and chocolate aroma. It has a sweet, chocolate rich taste with just some mild hops making itself known in the finish. It is thick and full-bodied and the 12% abv is buried. I would have guessed it was 10% or less.

Black pour with a tall smooth brown head. Big dark chocolate nose, soft hops, soft licorice and mild charred character. Very smooth palate, mild alcohol burn to it, but doesnt come off as 12 percent abv. Excellent roasted malt flavor, layers of chocolate and port. Really nice imperial stout.

12oz bottle. Poured an opaque black color. Thick pour. The head was chocolatey brown with an orange tint and reduced relatively quickly. Smelled of chocolate, alcohol, and subdued pine. Medium to full bodied and slightly sweet. Lowish carbonation. Roasty bitterness attenuated the sugars somewhat. Tasted of chocolate liqueur, burnt stick, and citrus fruit. Roasty, bitter finish.
