Commercial Description:
A light ale made with 100% real raspberries in every batch. The rasberries give this beer a fruity aroma while keeping the beer balanced in taste. The raspberry flavor is not "oversweet" or "overpowering". We believe our beers should be "beer 1st,fruit 2nd".

Very cloudy with lots of bubbles. A raspberry taste at the end. Taste a little off with some bitter finish.

Cloudy orange amber that looks like smoke moving inside the glass. Thin white head. Smells of raspberry candies - subtle and not overly sweet but seemd more of the artificial raspberry smell than anything fresh or natural. Taste is barely there as it is completely masked by the abundance of water. Horrid palate and no flavor. It tastes as though I had a glass half full of raspberry juice with lots of ice in there and I forgot about it and came back about 2 hours later once all the ice had melted and drank the remaining water. So watery, it is unmatched!

Thanks! Light to medium amber in a kolsch glass with a topping of white lasting head. Smell is a nice shot of raspberry and malt. Sweet, but not overly so in the smell. Taste is rather dull with about equal malt and raspberry flavors. Somewhat light bodied with low carbonation. Overall tastes thin and watery with a little raspberry flavor, but not as much in the nose, nor as fresh and full as I’d like. Easy to drink, still.

(Bottle) Pours a light amber color with a slight haze and white head. Aroma of biscuits and sweet raspberries. Taste is sweet and includes raspberry notes, grain, and caramel malts. The taste trails off towards the end. Carbonation was pretty high and the palate was on the low-medium end. Ehhh...

Reddish hazy ruby peach color. Syrupy raspberry flavoring all over this one, which really seems to have a basic amber ale/wheat recipe with some candied, artificial raspberry flavors added. It might be real raspberries, but it doesn’t taste like it. Thankfully it’s not overly sweet and plasticy, in fact it’s mildly tart and a bit prickly on the tongue, but there’s notes of some old, wet hair and some medicinal off-flavors that take a lot away from this beer.

Light red color. Thin and watery. There is some raspberry but very little of it. A little sweet. It needs more body and flavor. As it is, it is a light fruit beer.

My first of three Dark Horse beers for Christmas Day, shared with my wife. A light raspberry note in both aroma and flavor, but much more character of toasted (slightly burnt) malts and notable hops--at least to the extent that there is some astringence that wasn’t welcome. Not very sweet, not very fruity, and not very enjoyable, I’m sorry to say. Copper color.

12oz bottle. Light crushed and mildly funky raspberry aroma. A tad thin but not horrible. Pours cloudy gold. Raspberry at first on the palate followed quickly by some watery grain. Thin on the tongue with average carbonation.
