| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Nov 28, 2007 (bottle at Cellars) Pours orange with a small white head. Aroma of raspberry, not too strong. Taste has some raspberry that wasn’t too bad, but a grainy finish wiped it all away and was somewhat detracting. BeerBelcher (943), Columbus, Ohio, USA
| 2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 4/10 | 3/5 | 7/20 | Nov 26, 2007 Not a lot to like in this one - this is the mildest fruit beer I’ve had, which I find appealing (most of them are too sweet for me). However, there really isn’t anything else here to key in on; while this is "beer 1st, fruit 2nd" the beer doesn’t offer much interesting or especially appealing.
Appearance was a hazy red-orange color. Aroma was mildly fruity but also mildly cerealy. Flavor was more of the same, a mix of very mild fruitiness with a very mild and not-that-interesting cereal-ness. Mouthfeel was unexceptional.
I wouldn’t really recommend this beer. OSLO (826), Perth, Australia
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Nov 19, 2007 [Bottle, Cellar’s Tasting] Pours orange with a small white head. Aroma and taste are raspberry and malt, although not particularly strong of either. Medium-thin mouthfeel. A bit of a dry finish. Not a particularly good fruit beer, but it is ok. chicagodri (1057), Chicago, Illinois, USA
| 2.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Nov 17, 2007 This is one of the first raspberry ales that my girlfriend did not like. The raspberry aroma and flavor is very mild, which I don’t mind, but the beer doesn’t really have anything that makes it stand apart from others. I don’t think I will purchase it again. | 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 16, 2007 Sampled at Cellar’s Wine & Spirits Wedesday evening beer tasting in St Paul, MN. Pours a semi-clear light orange amber brew with a fast dissolving white head. Aroma of some tart raspberries, some light multi-grain malt, and a citrusy hops. Taste is light to medium bodied, light carbonation with flavors of dry, tart raspberries, some wheat and a touch of yeast. Finish is lightly dry with a light tart raspberry aftertaste. badgerben (3600), Blaine, Minnesota, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Nov 15, 2007 Orange color with a thin head. Aroma of slightly soured raspberries. Flavor is predominantly grainy. The raspberry taste struck me as more of a syrupy extract than raw fruit. Dry and tart finish. tagz (334), USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 4, 2007 bottle. has the look of apple juice, light brown, slight haze. not much in aroma, as you drink a light raspberry comes through. taste brings a mild bitter, raspberry is there but kept in check, not too sweet. moderate carb. clean finish. the few raspberry beers i’ve had taste artificial, but this one does a decent job at keeping things balanced. not bad. wmubronco1992 (184), Coldwater, Michigan, USA
| 3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Nov 3, 2007 Bottle - purchased at Wacky’s next to the brewery. Light orange color, no head to speak of, no lacing. Rasberry flavor is very discreet. You know its there, but its underwelming. Easy drinking beer that few will dislike and definitely worth a taste. Its just nothing to get excited about. Its the kind of beer your wife will like.
