Faint notes of raspberry mingled with citrus, vanilla, malt, and floral. Medium body, slightly watery. The flavor was unremarkable. The promise of raspberry never quite fulfilled. | 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Aug 24, 2006 Bottle, Dark amber color with a moderate canvas colored head. Light tart raspberry aroma with a sweet tart hint. Pale sweet malt mix with a dry raspberry sweetness (if that make any sense). But the dryness seems to be a near astringent component that linger far to long. Ok, a raspberry ale, yeah, there are some hint of raspberries, some hint so malt, but rather weak in both with nothing else to back things up. First, second, I think they missed both a bit. frankenkitty (1903), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 9/20 | Aug 22, 2006 Pours a flocculent amber with a fast, white, fizzy head that totally dissipates. Aroma of sour, raspberry Jell-O and vitamins... compressed B-12 or maybe Iron. Tart & dry with mild fizziness. Fruit flavor is relaxed but the cereal malt base and a touch of coffee-ground bitterness isn’t enough to rely upon for a positive beer experience.

Pours a cloudy amber-orange with a small diminishing white head. Nice, pleasant raspberry aroma -- not artificial at all. Watery flavour of sweet malt, raspberries, yeast, grain and faint hops. Light to medium bodied. I liked the aroma but was dissapointed with the watery thin flavour -- still, for a Fruit beer it’s decent. tupalev (2617), Waterloo, Ontario, Canada

Weird hazy rusty orange, small white head. Decent raspberry aroma - very mild though. Interesting taste at first: mild fruit and malt followed by a ton of fresh raspberry. Lots of fruit bitterness. Not quite sure what to make of this. Is there a beer in here or just fruit juice? Mild. Ok overall. punkrkr27 (635), Berkley, Michigan, USA
| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Aug 11, 2006 Poured a deep amber with a touch of pink. Sweet malty aroma with a very mild hint of rasberry. Nutty flavor with very little raspberry. Burnt grains on the finish. Very thin body. I’m dissapointed with this one. Thier IPA’s and Tripel are some of my favorites. | 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Aug 9, 2006 Bottle (12oz). Shared with blankboy and tupalev, blankboy’s bottle . Murky pinkish-orange, no head. Light raspberry aroma, scorched wheat, touch of slightly sour white wine, grain. Sweet, vaguely raspberry taste, some sharp yeast character, weak pale lager body. Weak mouthfeel, almost flat, a little acidic, harsh aftertaste - not a good one of theirs, I’m afraid. mds (2112), Toronto, Ontario, Canada
| 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 10/20 | Aug 5, 2006 Bottle. Pours a murky orange-brown body with a small white head. The aroma is artificial and candyish - tart raspberries, minerals, and some oranges. Flowery sweet malt flavour with some kind of toasty malts. The raspberry flavour is present but it’s fairly weak and uninteresting. Wateriness is evident. Weak.
