Mar 24, 2009 Pours a dark brown color with a nice tan head. Aroma is mostly chocolate with some coffee, roasted malts, and molasses. Flavor is the same with a little bitterness on the finish.

Mar 23, 2009 Pour was a darkish brown with a dark tan head. Aroma was mostly a chocolate and some roastedness. Flavor was much the same but the sweetness didn’t overwelm the beer good job.

Mar 21, 2009 Nice roasted coffee aroma. Pours black, with little head. Nice body with flavors of roasted coffee finishing with a touch of bitter hops on the finish. Very fine porter and a good value. I will by this again.

Mar 13, 2009 Bottle - Wow...this is just about everything I want in a beer. Dark black pour with very little head. Love the roasty smell, and the taste backs it up. It’s nutty, with roasted malt, a little smoke, and bourbon lingering in the background. Mouthfeel is smooth with just enough carbonation. By far the best I’ve had from Dark Horse, though I need to try more.

Feb 25, 2009 Bottle thanks to brentfreesh, shared with ilovedarkbeer. Pours thick for a 7.5%, with a dark brown head, black body and good lace. Aroma is a bit of biscuit, chocolate, cinnamon, vanilla, roast, alcohol and berries. Quite complex for a "regular" porter. Taste is roasty, yeasty, some metallic notes, with lots of coffee. Slightly creamy mouthfeel. Lively carbonation.

Feb 25, 2009 Bottle thanks to BMan1113VR. Thick black brown pour with some coating on the side of the glass and a small tan colored head.
Nose is brownie, fudge, chocolate, roasted coffee,
Mouthfeel is somewhat lighter and the finish is weaker.
Taste is roasted coffee and dark chocolate.

Feb 24, 2009 pours black with thin tan creamy head. the aroma was of chocolate and roasted malts. I tasted a strong coffee flavor, but was not able to taste the chocolate. was not my favorite in this style.

Feb 18, 2009 Pour is a black with a small creamy tan head. Aroma is some slight chocolate with some burnt malts. Flavor is is some coffee, chcocolate and roasted malt with a little hops on the tounge after the swallow. A decent enough offering but nothing mind blowing.
