Ungstrup (10824), Frederiksberg, Denmark Sep 25, 2005 A black beer with a huge brown head. The aroma is sweet with notes of chocolate, alcohol, and cardboard, while the flavor is sweet roasted with notes of chocolate, and a dry roasted end. omhper (10140), Stockholm, Sweden Mar 25, 2002 Extremely black. Very roasty, very malty, very bitter. Full bodied with salty licorice flavour. Is this a schwarzbier on steroids or baltic style porter? I’d say the latter, but in any case it is a good beer.
Thanks PsychProf for sending me this rare beer! Papsoe (9663), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jul 23, 2005 (Bottle 35,5 cl) Comes close to being pitch-black, completely opaque. Small, light brown head. Nose full of burned malt, flavours full of burned malt and lots of bitterness from the burned malt. Surprisingly light-bodied - almost a bit watery - with a very dry finish. Has some vinous touches. 170705 joergen (6141), Frederiksberg, Denmark Jul 18, 2005 Bottled.
