Hazy light golden with Caesar head. Decent yeast aroma. Above average mouthfeel, good fresh yeastiness, and it is fruity, with some bitter hop in the finish. A sipper. demitriustown (702), Shelby Township, Michigan, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 13/20 | Aug 6, 2009 12 oz bottle: Aroma is big on bubble gum, light lemon citrus, a bit of banana, and clove. Appearance is a golden/ orange opor that has a medium sized white head that diminishes into a soapy film. Taste is light bubble gum, yeast, somewhat dry on the palate with a slight lemon acidity. Overall, It’s a nice trip not to overwhelming at all. Cheers! TampaBrew (867), Tampa, Florida, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 4, 2009 Pours a hazy orange with a quickly disapating head. Nose is yeast and bubble gum and fruit. Some banana and mild clove as well. Flavor is rather clean, some pepper, some bubblegum, yeast, clove, sugary sweetness (not cloying). TheBeerOrg (1586), Kentucky, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Aug 3, 2009 Pours dark golden with a fully receding off-white head. Aroma of candied fruits, honey, bubble gum, citrus and banana. Notes of sweet malt, pear, apple, and brown sugar. Full bodied with lively carbonation. Interesting tripel, but like most American tripels, it lacks the refinement of the source. Poor head retention and a bit too boozy. lweiberg (89), Eagan, Minnesota, USA

| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 28, 2009 Very estery nose with much floral and lotsa spice, and a touch of apple rounded out by a barnyard funk. Pours a chunky cloudy orange with a nicely diminished head. Taste is again Belgian esters, some bread, faint bananas, some orange peel, light tart apple note, and a not well hidden alcohol backdrop. It borders on cloying, and seems to be a touch unbalanced in the malt. That said it seems to finish pretty good with a somewhat refreshing orange aftertaste. noncaloric (625), Madison, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 2/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Jul 18, 2009 Hazy to murky orange gold, scant off-white head. Strong aromas of lemon and yeast. Principal flavors are banana and clove, overlaying the musty abbey-style yeast. A bit of citrus bitterness in the background. The spicy clove element nicely complements the alcohol warmth, but especially as the beer warms up, the banana borders on cloying. Mouthcoating, slightly puckering, finishes chalky. nuplastikk (1222), Madison, Wisconsin, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 3/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Jul 18, 2009 12oz bottle. Murky orange-brown color with no real head to speak of. A shade darker than your typical Tripel for sure. Imperial Hefe aroma, with some pungent Belgian qualities comign through more as it warms. Still has some Hefe characteristics, but certainly way thicker and complex. Peach, some citrus tang in the finish. Quite excellent for 8.5%. Some light Candi thickness. A goodt beer, certainly unique.
