Pours brown-black with a large, foamy, coffee-brown head. Blueberry is the principal aroma, some anise and toast follow. On the flavor, blueberry melds well with the dark fruit and bitter melon roasted barley elements; the finish is more of dark chocolate. A little bit too burnt. Medium bodied, somewhat thin compared to the flavors, mild carbonation.

Drank at Dark Horse in Marshall MI. Small creamy light brown head with fair lacing. Body hue is black. Smells of moderate caramel malt mostly blueberries, and reminds me slightly of Guinness. Flavor of sour blueberry, very smooth stout, finish had no coffee but slightly bitter sour blueberries. Surprisingly dry. Medium body with a slight creamy feel and soft carbonation.

Bottle courtesy of fiver29. Pours a pitch black with a one finger brown head. that fades quickly but leaves slick lacing. The nose is blueberry chocolate muffins! The taste is dry cocoa, ashy malt, black coffee with light chocolate covered blueberries in the finish. Medium creamy mouth feel. Man, when this one poured I thought it was going to be all blueberry, but it’s a good stout nicely infused with hints of blueberry. Another great one from this brewery. Thanks John!

Had this by the bottle at Duke’s Alehouse and Kitchen. This beer has rockstar status!! Quite possibly one of the best beers I’ve ever smelled. Pours a dark, syrupy black color with no head. The most amazing blueberry aromas rise from this glass. I feel like I’m surrrounded by a crop of sweet blueberries in the summer. Aromas of blueberry, chocolate, maybe a little coffee. Tastes entirely different than expected. Not sweet...just an amazing stout with this fresh blueberry flavor. Tastes of dark, bitter chocolate and blueberry. Reminds me of a blueberry muffin!!!

pours very dark brown...almost black, with a thick brown head. Strong blueberry and chocolate aroma. Flavour has good chocolate and coffee tones, mice dark roast malt, the berry is not as prominant as in the aroma bit comes through towards the finish. Some light bitterness as well towards the end.

12 oz bottle. Nice dark black pour with slight head. Nice amt of blueberry flavor to go along with roasted coffee. Pleasant, better than expected.

beautiful pour into a pint glass. Black with a unbeliveable dark brown head. Very nice blueberry and roasted malt aroma. Its a very odd combination its different. The flavor is much of the same but the roasted coffee flavor is very heavy, and a touch of bitter cooking chocolate. Wow this has a bitter bite at the end......yikes it lingers for a bit. Once again craft brewers are really pushing the boundries and Dark Horse is one of the best.
