Pours dark thick black with a wonderful brown chocolate creamy froth. Great aroma of smokey woody blueberries! Flavor follows, quite smokey and woody with a great chocolate blueberry vanilla spice flavor. Medium bodied, creamy with light carbonation. This stuff is very yummy! 9.5.8.4.17
[Rerate - 09 bottle enjoyed 2.7.09] Pours a very dark unclear brown with a medium bubbly brown froth, 4.5. Aroma is similar to previous description with maybe a bit more green hops and some blueberry muffin. Nice sweet chocolate flavor and slightly tart tangy blueberries with a bit of hops and hint of smokiness. Medium bodied, actually a bit thin, large soft carbonation bubbles. Love the blueberry accents and its quite drinkable, more like a blueberry porter. 8.4.8.4.16 Tripplebrew (493), Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA

Flavor is toasted malts and coffee with a very light creamy fruit undertone that adds a creaminess to the flavor. Beyond that it isn’t ’blueberry’ just this creamy sweetness that has an accent more than just sugar. complex flavor. Body is fairly thick light carbonation. Very impressed with this beer. | 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | May 16, 2008 12 oz bottle. Opens with a very faint escape of carbonation, almost too little to hear.Dark dark black in color, almost no head to speak of. I was a bit skeptical of this beer, because I thought the blueberries would overwhelm. However, I’m pleasantly surprised. They play a very minimal role in the flavor. Prominent flavors are milk chocolate, roasted malts, and chocolate covered blueberries. Definitely a sweet stout. Full bodied, a bit syrupy. Solid. xnoxhatex (1305), Grand Rapids/Chicago, Michigan, USA

Intense blueberry, and dark malt. Bitter blueberry, with a slight sweetness, but overall very dry, slight roast and smoke as well. This is overall a pretty great stout, sweet yet dry, very nice. jrob21 (1257), Atlanta, Georgia, USA
| 3.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 3/5 | 16/20 | May 14, 2008 Caramel colored head. Aroma of light roasted malt. Flavor is where the blueberry really comes through. Back end flavors of cocoa and bittersweet chocolate. You are left with a mice sweetness. This would make a great dessert beer. mcmd (134), Louisville, Kentucky, USA

Aroma is full of roast with a slight hint of blueberry. Pours very black with a hint of tan tinged with dark blue/purple. Flavor is very nice, full of roasted coffee, chocolate and a hint of blueberries. Finish is very tart blueberry followed by black licorice. JMerritt (1315), Macomb, Illinois, USA
| 3.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | May 6, 2008 Very dark brown (nearly black) with a small chocolate brown head that is totally diminishing. Aroma is about 65% roast, 35% blueberry - first whiffs, the blueberry tartness is very noticeable, but upon further sniffs the chocolate roast is most prevalent. Blueberry is pretty hidden in the flavor, which is largely roasty coffee, nutty grains and green herbally finish. Somewhat light palate. A decent stout, but it seems like the blueberry addition was an afterthought.
