A full bodied stout made with all malted barley and blueberry. Flavors of chocolate, roast malt and light blueberry make up the palate with lots of fruity blueberry aroma.

Bottle, thanks Acknud! This is mazing. Very dark pour wtih a smallish brown head. Smell is of blueberries, but upon tasting it the taste is of a delicious stout with a hint of blueberry flavor in the background. Wonderful beer. Well balanced.

Dark in color with a light small head. Strong, very strong blueberry smell suprised it held up that long. Also reminds me of a cough drop. Flavor is blueberry, malts, and tea.

Bottle: Pours very dark with a small brown head. Aroma and Flavor: 50% blueberries + 50% black licorice = 100% bad. I could not drink this because I hate black licorice and the taste did not mix well with blueberries. 10 for originality, 2 for execution.

Bottle - Pours a dark black with a thick dark tan head. Aroma of coffee. Tastes of chocolate, coffee, and malt. I didn’t pick up on the blueberry flavor. Excellent stout. Leaves you with a very satisfying feeling. Another quality Dark Horse product.

Pours deep black with frothy brown head. Aromas of blueberries, roasted malt, and some chocolate. Flavor is the complete opposite with no blueberries and no chocolate. This thing tastes like a thin shitty porter. Very dissapointing from the nose.

Bottle pours black with a small brown head that does not lace. The aroma is strong roasted malt and blueberries. The flavor is sweet with solid malt, roasted like a mild coffee drink, and fruit, most notably blueberries. The palate is quite rich and pleasant. Overall this is great. And kudos to the brewery to making a great tasting beer under 5% ABV.

12 oz. bottle, no freshness/bottling date, sampled in pint glass. L: The darkest of impenetrable blackish browns with a nice fluffy tan chocolate head that ever so slowly sank into a thin sudsy skim. A light amount of splotchy lace rings the top of the glass. This blueberry stout is off to a good looking start. S: Deep roasted, slight burnt, barley malt aromas, charcoal, coffee, chocolate, nuts and grain with a soft underlining of sweetly tart blueberries. Further whiffs put in blueberry estery alcohol. F&T: Moderate bodied with a silky creaminess, this has a nice velvety drinkability. Deep roasted malt flavors with a little roasted bitterness in the finish. Malty tastes of dark chocolate, cocoa powder, molasses and charred nuts, ending with a good roasted dark coffee bitterness. Mildly tart blueberries in the middle helps to cut some of the roasted malts bark. A quite light citric hop in the finale, along with the mildly tart blueberries, add a touch of sourness to the sugary coffee finish. Another winner in the Dark Horse holiday stout series, inventive and well crafted. One of the better fruit beers I’ve tried, recommended for anyone who loves a good dark stout.
