Very nice. Black pour with a small amber head. Aroma is quite heavy with blueberry but the taste is not so much so. I do taste a creamy chocolate and coffee. Smooth lingering slightly bitter finish. Very drinkable.

Pours black with a thin dark tan head. Huge blueberry aroma. Flavor is blueberry, sweet fruit, dark chocolate, coffee, and toffee. Finishes bittersweet, decent carbonation and medium mouth feel. Hmmm, very nice.

bottle. this was a very tasty beverage. The blueberry really came out in this. It was a little sour though. I could also taste some roasted malt and coffee.

2/26/2007: Dark Horse Tres Blueberry Stout is black in color, opaque, and has a really subtle veil that lasts for about a second after the pour. This beer has an awesome aroma. It smells just like hot blueberry pie with a touch of chocolate sauce on it! The blueberry is much more subdued in the flavor but is definitely there and it tastes real like a fresh blueberry. The blueberry floralness mingles nicely with the dry roasted maltiness and chocolate flavors that follow. The finish has a wonderful milk chocolate flavor with traces of blueberry. The body of this beer is medium to medium-full and is just right for the style and overall impression. This sucker is delicious a very impressive fruit-flavored stout! I am very pleased!

12 fl. oz. bottles from Silphium (trade in December 2006) and Tish. Thank you Brad and Tisha! Rating #271 for this beer...

Bottle. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Aroma of roasted chocolate malt, coffee, prunes and a hint of blueberry. Taste is semi sweet with chocolate, blueberry, light roasted malt. Well balanced with a very dry, tart finish.

Pours an absolutely opaque, pitch black body. A spongy, chocolate brown head settles slowly to a thin film, leaving rings of skinny lacing behind at first, followed by sudsy lacing that mostly rejoins the body. The aroma shows roasted coffee, cream, dark cocoa, and blueberry pancakes that stuck to the griddle for about one minute too long. A sweet bready, pancake batter component makes this one the perfect breakfast beer. The blueberry component is fresh, not artificial like most fruit beers are. The flavor shows scorched blueberry and chocolate chip pancakes. A light smokiness shines though, with a caramel infused syrup drizzle. I cannot emphasize enough how great a breakfast beer this would make. The medium-full mouthfeel is smooth and creamy. Finishes roasty, with a lingering blueberry and chocolate finish. Overall, this is a very satisfying beer. It’s not overly sweet and not at all artificial tasting. This is one of the best fruit beer interpretations I have ever sampled. I want more!

Very subtle blueberry in the nose and taste. Rich pour that lingers in the bottle. Lasting fruit flavor far after the final sip. Not my favorite style of stout, but works very well with the hidden fruit.
