Commercial Description:
A full bodied stout made with all malted barley and blueberry. Flavors of chocolate, roast malt and light blueberry make up the palate with lots of fruity blueberry aroma.

This stout actually displays some purple highlights as it pours into the glass. A thick, mocha head rises above the ebony body. Freshly mashed blueberries and sweet apple immediately rise from the glass. A deeper breath reveals a gentle layer of roasted malt and espresso beneath. The blueberry initiates a splash of tart lemon that matches a citrusy hoppiness in the start. The malt profile takes control from here, riding this out with lots of smoke, dark chocolate and chalky coffee. An interesting combo, but blueberries and roasted malt aren’t my favorite mix.

I like Bells Cherry Stout. And I like Atlantic Bar Harbor Blueberry Ale. I can appreciate this stout — the blueberries are there as is the roasty aroma and taste. But roasted, smoked, peaty blueberries? The combination didn’t work for me as well as it apparently does for most others. The aroma is big on blueberries. Behind it is smoke and peat. The pour is a black body below a creamy, large tan head. The flavor presents moderate sweetness and a slight bitterness. Dry finish. Medium body and a slightly sticky texture.

Aquired via trade with Styles. As soon as I popped the cap it was instant blueberry and malt aroma and just maybe a touch of smoke. Sort of smells like blueberry pancakes with syrup. Pours black with a faint tan head. Flavor for some reason is quite spicy. Also roasted malts, burnt blueberry. Sure is different.

via trade with wheninhell - the only thing lacking in this fantastic brew is a nice thick head so it looks as good as it tastes. for such a low alcohol brew, its definitely not lacking for anything else. lots of body, lots of flavor. the aroma smells like breakfast in the morning...blueberry pancakes/muffins and coffee in the air. the flavor is very similar. blueberry up front with some roasted malt and chocolate in the finish. like i said earlier, like having your blueberry muffin with your coffee in the morning.

Pours pitch oil black with almost no head. The blueberries are definitely dominant in the smell, mixed in with the typical stout characters, chcoclate, dark malts, roastiness, etc. Taste has some blueberry in it for sure, but not as heavy as in the nose. Mixes pretty well with the rest of the stout characteristics. I think blueberry is a great fruit to incorporate into a stout. Very thick and nice mouthfeel, slightly bitter finish, but overall solid brew.

Bottle...incredible blueberry aroma, does not carry through as much to the palate. Nice creamy stout for the backbone.

Bottle, thanks to ogglethorp. Poured black with no light coming through and no head, just a thin tan oil slick cover. Aromas of roasted coffee, chocolate and blueberry. Very nice flavors, lots of coffee with the background blueberry. As it warmed in my snifter, the roasty coffee flavor really picked up and the blueberry faded. Excellent mouthfeel, slick and creamy with a good finish. A ver nice beer.

12 oz bottle thanks to BigErn, thanks a lot Sean. A bit of sludge on the inside of the mouth, nice. As I pop the cap I can smell blueberry, I like. Poured completely black with zero clarity throughout the pour. No head and just a tad of brown lacing. Aroma is moderate with light stout roastiness, light coffee, and a sweet berry aroma that comes in at the end. Taste is a bit empty at the start but the light roastiness kicks in near the end with a perfect sweet blueberry aftertaste. Low bitterness and average carbonation. Downsides: a bit thin and not enough initial flavor. The blueberry is just how I would want it but I would like a fuller stronger stout in general, still very good though.
