Commercial Description:
A full bodied stout made with all malted barley and blueberry. Flavors of chocolate, roast malt and light blueberry make up the palate with lots of fruity blueberry aroma.

On tap at ashleys and later had from the bottle. Pours black witha thin brown head. Aroma was of some chocolate and straight blueberries. I didnt think someone could get this fruit of an aroma in a beer. Flavor had a light bitterness followed by some roastiness and maybe a touch of bitter or sourness probably from a little taste of coffee. Good mouthfeel and body. Definitely my fav stout under 5%.

Black motor oil pour. Nice blueberry presence in aroma. Blueberry taste on the front but quickly disappears in the finish. More coffee presence in the taste than blueberry. Good beer.

Pours black with a medium brown head that quickly dissipates. The aroma is roasted coffee with a hint of blueberry. Medium palate with low carbonation. Roasted coffee falvor with a light blueberry presence--which I’m happy doesn’t overrun the taste. Slight yeast flavor mixed in. Solid stuff.

Slight blueberry taste, does not overpower the stout, not a fruity beer. Nice, beautiful dark color, dark foam, very light head. Great blueberry scent. They could use some work on the label art. What do they do, get the local patrons of the brew pub to draw a doodle and put it on the bottle? This is a good stout.

bottle, smells and looks like a thick and creamy chocolate..mocha..coffee drink. Beautiful cool blueberry aroma. Tastes strong chocolate flavors, sweet malts, and light blueberry flavor. A bit of a winey fermented taste...great mouthfeel, and really an excellent beer. A refreshing bitter end, also like a mocha. Will buy again.

Bottled, Nov 2006. Pours dark brown or black with a creamy brown head. Aroma is assertively blueberry with roasty malt backup. Full bodied, syrupy, flavor is richly malty with chocolate & roast malts, black malt or high roasts add a burnt astringency that at least cuts through the cloying natural-tasting blueberry flavor that coats my mouth throughout the finish.

12 oz bottle pours a brown black with a thick tan head. Blueberry malt aromas come to the nose, sweet fruity with chocolate roast and smoke behind it. Creamy full mouthfeel that fades to the sweet chocolate stout with lots of blueberries around the edges. Finishes dry with roast and blueberries. Pretty tasty at first but I grow tired of this beer, it needs a lactic sourness to it, to make this a really good brew.
